GRASSINGTON – OUR BASE FOR THE WEEKEND

This walking break will be based from the beautiful village of Grassington in lovely Wharfedale. This really is a beautiful part of the country, with a sweeping broad valley through which flows the meandering River Wharfe, with deep side-valleys and glacial meltwater gorges, ancient woodland, waterfalls, cave systems, magnificent hills and fells, plus loads of history and heritage including abandoned lead mines, a Neolithic henge, prehistoric settlements and quaint villages. Grassington is a lovely village of stone-built houses set around a large square, with lots of narrow lanes and alleys leading off (known locally as ‘folds’). Here you will find three pubs, B&Bs, shops and cafes as well as a National Park Information Centre.

Accommodation ranges from self catering to B&Bs, hotels and three pubs. We’ll send you a detailed list of accommodation when you make a booking with us.

This walking weekend will be based at the Black Horse, Grassington, a lovely old pub in the heart of the village, with cosy corners and log fires.
